Hello. I have had a bluehead fairy wrasse for a week and a half, and it has not yet eaten any food. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to get it to do so? I have tried mysis, brine shrimp, flakes, and pellets, but it won't take anything. I have also tried soaking the food in garlic. It is possible that it's eating some bristle worms in the tank, though I have not witnessed it doing so. There are no signs of injury or disease in the fish, and though it spends most of the day hiding, it does come out for extended periods several times throughout the day. I try to feed it when it's out of hiding, but it simply ignores the food.
Currently, the fish is housed in a 37 gallon aquarium (yes, I know that this is a bit small for a full-grown fairy wrasse, but this is a small wrasse--approximately 2 1/2 inches--and I plan to upgrade), and the other inhabitants are a firefish and two juvenile clowns. No one has bothered the wrasse at all. If you have advice, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
