Fake rocks in quarantine

This is probably a stupid quetion and I know Beth said do not use rocks in the quarantine tank, but can I use fake rocks in the bottom. Like the rocks that you use for the freshwater tanks.

I am just wondering what kind of gravel I can use. I did see that she said I could use fake rocks, but she didn't say if I could use fake gravel. Can I use glass marbles or anything at all?

I think it would be ok to use the glass marbles, in my QT I don't have a substrate. Some people paint the bottom of thier tank so the fish don't see their reflection.

No marbles. You want to keep the QT clean, and you want to have the bottom of the tank, where all the debris lands, very accessible so that you can clean it daily if necessay.
Take a look at the FAQ section. It exclains the whys as to the bare bottom tank.
