I bought a pair of false percs on Sunday, and they were both eating. Everything was good until tue morning I didn't see one clown, turns out the poor guy was sucked up by my aquaclear powerhead. So tueday night I go out and get another perc. Well its now thur morning and I can't get him to eat. Tried brine and flake food. At first the original clown from sunday was alittle aggressive towards him, but they have been hanging out together ever since. he wil swim up to the food but then shy away
will this guy ever settle in or just starve himself. Don't understand I thought clowns were great eaters! FYI the clowns are the first fish to go in my tank. ANy help would be great

Is your Ammonia level staying at zero?
Other that that I wouldn't worry. It could be up to a week before it's comfortable in the new surroundings.

Sorry for your loss, sadly it happens sometimes.
Switch to mysis, brine is not very nutritious. Adding garlic sometimes helps. Wouldn't worry too much yet, some are more nervious than others. A healthy clown fish can go a week without eating (as previously stated) with no ill effects.

Well as of this morning the one clown is still not eating. Tried raising the temp to 79-80, and tried reef science frozen food (zooplankton, krill, etc). This guy is showing no signs of health issues, and is always swimming with the other clown around the tank. But once i feed them he swims within an inch of the food but never tastes it
He has been in the tank since tuesday night. I think i'll try some garlic drops tomorrow. How often should I be feeding them?

Well i tried some garlic drops in the food tonight, and still nothing!
This guy is starting to make me worry. He is swimming out in the open with the other clown but looks real lazy. I ;m worried if you kicks the bucket it will be to late to add another clown so they can get along. its been 4 days.

Wait 3 more days but don't even attempt to feed him.
