False Perc Vs True Perc Clown?

I just got another (false?) perc clown. I cant tell if its the same species as my clown. Mine is about 2 years old, and suposedly an Ocellaris. Its bigger and more of a dull orange, my new one is very small and young. It has the same markings but its bright bright orange. Do their colors fade with age? It seems as if my older one might be a Ocellaris clown, and the new one a true perc as I read the true ones are brighter orange. Does anyone know if their colors fade? I was hoping to get a breeding pair, but side by side they seem to be different, but mainly in color, not markings.

They do fade but sometimes, they're just from a different area of the ocean. Just like people :D some are darker and lighter than others.

You usually can tell by the black dividing the white and orange. On a true perc it's much more profound whereas on the ocellaris it's much thinner.
I personally like the ocellaris - they are silly swimmers, eat out of my hand, are less expensive and less aggressive than true percs.

If the lighting in the tank is bright enough they will get like a sun screen thing witch makes their color fade to a duller color, I used to have a large false perc like this. And like posted above the true percs have dark outlineing their white lines.

Pretty much all fish will lose some color because of intense lighting, my Square Male Anthias has been a victim of the color snatching PC.
