I have 2 clowns and just bought the wrasse today, the clown doesn't seem to like the wrasse in her (bigger of a mated pair) tank. This is the first fish conflict Ive had in my tank and my research leads me to believe they should get along fine, however, i am aware there is always fish that don't fit the profile.
Now the clowns both share a Sebae Anemone and host in it frequently especially if there is a lot of motion around the tank and at night.
The clowns are about 2 inches so is the wrasse.
The clowns were the first inhabitants of the tank and Ive been careful not to add anything that would consider the tank "his or hers".
My current stock is:
1x Mandarin Dragonet
1x Coral Beauty Angelfish
2x False Percula Clownfish
1x Sixline Wrasse
3x Emerald Crabs
1x Sebae Anemone (approx. 6 inches in diameter)
Snails
Hermit Crabs
Any suggestions, right now I turn the lights out when she starts chasing him into the rockwork. She immediately retreats with the other clown into the anemone. The sixline simply keeps swimming around, should I leave the lights out for a day or two, the anemone should be fine. Is there another way that you guys/gals suggest I get them to attempt to get along? My other additions have been really smooth.
Although this is the only addition that I added that didn't hide for a day or 2 he just went right away swimming.
BTW, this is an 80gal plenty of space for them at 2 inches each.
