I only have 2 Clowns in my 36g tank. This morning I couldn't find one of them. I have a cover on the tank so I know he didn't jump out. I looked everywhere in the tank including under my LR and Corals. Somebody said maybe there is a crab in the tank that ate him. I have 5 Turbo Snails, Coral Banded Shrimp, 2 urchins, and 2 Anemones in the tank for livestock. I also have a bed of CC that is about 1 inch deep. Any clue as to what might have happened to him? Has this ever happened to someone else? If there is a crab in my tank that was a hitchhiker on one of my pieces of LR I am not aware of it. Should I get a bigger fish next time?

He might of died in your tank. Your cleanup crew would make a quick snack out of him and you probably won't find any body left. How long have they've been in your tank? Your anemone might of made a snack out of him as well.....Sorry about your loss!!

I did here some clicking noises in the tank. I thought it might be the snails. Will a Bubble Tip Anemone eat a small clown? I thought they were friends. I also have a Florida Anemone he doesn't look like he has moved in the tank at all. The fish was in my tank for almost 2 weeks.

you may have a mantis shrimp try making a trap out of a coke bottle just do a quick search and you can find plans on how to make one and if you catch it DONT get rid of it alot of people will gladly take it off your hands.

yeah he could but then you just cut open the trap and put him back in may take a while but unless you see some kind of proof that you dont have one it cant really hurt to try you might catch a crab or two.

Here is a pic of the tank. The clown has been hovering in the same spot for 2 days. He doesn't venture out. Do you think he's scared cause his buddy got eaten?

is there an overflow on that tank? If so, check it. I have a friend who's clown fell into the overflow. We can't get him out b/c there isn't enough room to get a net in. It's been in there for around 5 months.
