Family Guy

You have to have a really open sense of humor and see it for what it is, it's really dark humor and not meant to be mean, just dark humor......Sometimes the show is totally lame, other times it almost has me bent over cracking up....Like the episode with Mother Teresa............Brian and Stewie are the stars. I guess you have to be a little more relaxed and carefree to enjoy the humor and it shock value

How dare you ask people to be open minded.

I'm a huge family guy fan, counting down the days till the new season. I love the humor. But I was bored. Almost turned it off, I guess busting out in song is only funny so often. What really bugged me was that the old guy gay guy was ob1. That should have been wheelchair man, and where was yodda? I did laugh when meg was the snake in the trash pit. And that whole veering left joke. My humor is really dry.

You know I recorded it on my DVR and thought it was okay when I watched it. I watched part of it again this morning and it was better. There are some pretty funny jokes but it might be my sense of humor.
I loved the two guys in the Death Star talking about getting a rail installed. Lots of others similar and they actually did a great job recreating starwars.

I really liked at the end they talked about the show Robot chicken already doing the star wars thing. Considering that Seth Green not only is the voice for Chris Griffin, but also one of the creators of Robot Chicken.

It was hilarious. I loved the 'robot chicken' discussion, that was genius.
I do adore Stewie and Brian, but it's Cleveland Brown that gets all the best lines in that show. He is one of my favorite cartoon characters, right next to Bender "Bending" Rodriguez (Futurama) and Toki Wartooth (Metalocalypse.)
My three year old niece wanted to watch it with us and I will let her, until she "gets" the jokes.

so, it doesn't matter, it is a rip off, you know maybe plant him some where, it is a rip off. Just you know, maybe make ob1, yoda, and get peter to say you know we liked it better this way and it is my story. And lando too, we could have put a couple stupid twists to make the nuts happy.

yea , but it was almost scene for scene copy of episode 4 (taking out a few scenes), in fact all the space battles were just drawn over the real movie frames. this is why people didnt really find it as funny as their other stuff.

Family guy is funny as hell. Some people have a boring sense of humor. just the random crap they throw in is what makes it so funny. I thought the star wars episode was really funny. I like the fact they made it pretty much like the movie.
As far as south park. That show really isnt that funny. Its like Howard stern. Just tries to be as ignorant and raunchy as they can get away with. South park is stupid.
Simpsons and then Family guy are the 2 best cartoon shows.

yeah, I think that is fair. It was a copy of the movie. The floating words were funny.

Sometimes I sit back and go "they didn't just say that", it's so cutting edge, you either get it or your offended. The episode where Stewie discovers that he LIKES being disciplined and runs around causing all kinds of havoc

The best episode ever was the one where Stewie is trying to get Brian (the dog) in trouble and Stewie starts peeing on everything in the house

Well, I just saw it last night. (Tivo).
To tell you the truth, if I was by myself I think I would have thought it was kind of lame, But I wasn't alone, I had the guru of spoofs and movie lines sitting next to me. So when he would bust out laughing, I'd look at him, like "what the hell are you laughing at" and he's explain what I didn't get.
So actually undertanding the inside jokes helped a lot and it was pretty funny.
I never even HEARD of Dr. Who before...

I was thinking the same thing myself,
but I almost spilled my beer when I read it. That would have been a crime and you would have owed me a beer.
I've never watched Family Guy before. I've seen the previews and it look like it would be funny though. I might have to give it a try sometime.

My fav were when stewie goes into his inner space ship and kills the sperm. When he works a mlm gig and hires brian. And finally the one where brian owes stewie money. and roughs him up a bit.
