From what I have read it eats algea.. I dont know anyhting more than that.. I have never seen it eating algea. Just crawling around on the rock and glass mostly at night..

WOW!!!! chalk that one up to one of the strangest crids to be ID'ed...any idea how big it gets & where did you find info on it at?

The ones in my tank range in sizes from a dime to a 50 cents piece.. They are very slow movers and I have no Idea if they do any dammage.. If anyone knows where I can find more info on the let me know..

Have to give most all credit to Richard Rendos... One of the wisest people I know when it comes to reef tanks and creatures in them...

is the thing yellow and have like a white helmet? if so, i have a couple of them in my tank also. they seem to be good algae cleaners and don't bother a thing. its cool to watch their snout just move back and forth cleaning.

these guys are completely reef safe. they are a common hitchiker and you can get them with detrivore kits thats where i got mine. its pretty cool but when the lights go out i found about 10 little ones out on the glass

yep, like i said above that is what i have. mine are more yellow, with a brighter white helmet thing. mine seem to be growing quickly also, so i must have alot of funk they enjoy in my tank :)

Definately Stomatella, I have loads of these in all different sizes, they do a really good job on the glass algea. :)

Stealth it is, It usually only comes out at night.. SOmetimes seen in the day but not much.
