It's a 36 gal tank so you'll have a (relatively) small volume in your canopy...and you only have one 250 MH light...
One 4" fan, mounted on the side, blowing air in, pointed down towards (across) the water surface...Look for large blades and low RPM...(high CFM and low db) 90 CFM @ <30 db is available if you look around...
You want to cool the water through accelerated evaporation, the positive pressure will also carry excess ambient (air) heat out of your canopy either through an open back and/or vents in the top...

I would think:)notsure: ) near the shore, crashing waves and wind would have ALOT to do with special paint, fixtures, rusting, ect... I for one don't have any crashing waves.:D
I believe in pushing air in. No moist air, cooler air and the fact your moving it across the water surface. I also think that an open top will let the heat rise right out of the conopy.
