A smelly rotten-egg gas in farts controls blood pressure in mice, a new study finds.
The unpleasant aroma of the gas, called hydrogen sulfide (H2S), can be a little too familiar, as it is expelled by bacteria living in the human colon and eventually makes its way, well, out.

serious posts only.
OK but i don't know how anyone can consider this a serious post.
Maybe Flatulation the way to intestinal health would be a better choice in the title.

I personally didn't see this as a serious post but ill respect you thread.

but like all good things too much is a bad thing H2S is deadly in more than like 10ppm, in the oilfield they have to wear h2s monitors on their hardhats in certain areas because it sinks down to the low places on the ground and pools up it also travels in big clouds by wind - on some locations if you smell it its to late and you are already poisoned by it

even better, i learned last night that while normal human flatulance contains only 5% oxygen, if you eat enough high fiber, such as beans, that causes in increase in 02 quantity to levels of 15% or greater, you can then , if aimed properly, use your flatulence to save somebody's life while performing CPR, instead of gross mouth - to - mouth.
