hey dont kill the messanger. Just curious if anyone has done this or knows someone whos done this. I was told after i bought my assorted mushrooms that if i wanted them to mass reproduce to put them in a BLENDER with salt water and give them a quick couple spins turn off all filtration and pumps pour them in and with in a week or two turn everything back and the coral should start to spread like wild fire. Seems like an inexpensive way to get your tank going but doesnt seem right to do. But if anyone should do this i guess i just told you how to do it and ofcourse thers more. just curious if thers any truth to this cause the guy that did it showed me pics of his tank and honestly it was beautiful!!

I've heard of a guy here in FL that has done this.. but haven't actually witnessed it. I'd be too afraid to try it... would only seem to work if you did it to a take with nothing but mushrooms because after you blended them they'd probably polute the tank.

thats was i thought too. but when he did it he told me only like two chops cause the blender heats up quick and kills the coral. but he mentioned the best way to do it is to cut them in small pcs and placve them everywhere seems like a great thing to save money.

Never heard of using a blender! I have had many people tell me to cut them with a razor.
Personally, I think mushrooms multiply quite well on their own and I am in no hurry to have my tank too full of one item.
IMO, this is a hobby, I don't want to be done. Add alittle here, and alittle there. Otherwise, you outgrow your tank too quickly.

makes sense, its not a race. This stuff is suppose to take years to build up. and your right, mushrooms with the right conditions multiply like wild fire anyways
