Yes, well sort of, I think everyones mother or grandmother made them for you!
Texas toast is thick sliced bread. With a cookie cutter stamp out the center of a piece of bread lightly butter it with seasoned garlic butter place it on a hot griddle with some olive oil and crack a large egg into the center, sprinkle some crumbled bacon and some fresh parmesian cheese on top and grill til brown then flip to brown the other side! egg gets cooked in the center, your too young for mamosa's I think aren't you? But good ole fashioned orange juice will work! It's a fast tailgate breakfast!
Thank you for voting I really appreciate it!!!!!!!! :)

I prefer cooking a thick burger (Bubba Burgers, give you 70% of your daily saturated fat in one serving), putting an over-easy egg on top, and eating it. Let's call it "brunch".
We should start a tailgating thread, i've got a couple Food Network-looking pics from the Army-Navy game.

I cant stand noon games, luckily most UVA games are at 330 or at night. Still, we usually roll into the parking lot at 8 or so, gives us time to cook some breakfast, relax with a few mamosas and beers, and then straight into lunch and time to break out the bourbon. Usually a few Virginia wine selections from the vineyards around the area.
I'll have to try your Eggers, I've seen things similar before when I lived in NC, but never at a tailgate. Sounds like the perfect idea to keep the eggs from running off the Fire 'N' Ice. At the Army-Navy game, where it's been so cold in the past the eggs froze inside the shell, the eggs kept running off the griddle. Luckily we shored it up with some bacon.

We HATE the noon games I think we get 1 3:00 and 1 7:00 game each year. It sounds like you have the beverage dept bagged!
This is what we did last game: ready?
Large strawberries hollowed out and chilled. Not frozen!
Captain Morgan coconut or rasberry flavored rum
Can of vanilla, and chocolate whipped cream
1: pour a shot of captain morgan into the stawberry top it off with a squirt of either vanilla or chocolate topping!
and down it whole! No chocking allowed!
Great fun, I think we should tailgate together sometime! It's a blast!

Niiiiice. That's my girlfriend's department. Cute cupcakes and strawberries are her depatment.
I'm in charge of the meat. For the first tailgate of the year, we attempted to have seven different types of meat to celebrate seven season of tailgating, but we came up short. Only ended of w/ six types (beef, pork, turkey, lamb, chicken, duck). I knew i should've driven home to my relatives to pick up some venison. Either that or should've made my house speciality, salmon.

But, speaking of Capt Morgans. Something that's fun, albeit dangerous after a few drinks, is to bring some coconuts and a machete to the tailgate. Chop the top off them, and mix about 40% coconut milk and 60% capt morgans (works out well, usually only 40% of milk is left after the chopping faux pas). Just drink it straight out of the coconut. No cups, no mess, and probably the best-tasting mixed drink I could imagine.

I'm not an alcoholic or anything but, I have a terrible experience from being a stupid kid with. . .Captain Morgan spiced rum and Bugels!!!!!!!! remember those aweful tasting bugel shapes corn chip ?????? It ALL came back up for DAYS!!! OMGosh, It took 20 years to get the stomach up to even try Morgan again!
Oh well, Older wiser! On a happier note send me some pork rib recipes, That's what were doing next week!
