I received a couple small pieces with my peppermint shrimp about 3 or 4 weeks ago I have a small piece left and it doesnt seem to be growing much. The only fish i have is a royal and he doesnt bother the stuff. It has produced a couple new feathers but i hear people talk about this stuff taking over. Why isnt mine growing?

Be patient, when it get the right nutients, it will grow. Sometimes mine does not grow for a while, and then in 1 week, it has grown over 1 ft.

most people keep in a refugium because it will spread and take over corals if not trimmed. They say it is good for controlling nitrates and phosphates.

Feather caulerpa is a pain and illegal in CA to buy or sell--- feather caulerpaand yeah it will grow but you might not like it when it starts to get out of control, you can trim it often but it will root in to every nook and cranny in your tank so be careful i would not use it in my main tank if i was you.

In Michigan, shops charge big bucks for the stuff
In CA. It's a Weed. I have put it into my tank twice and both times it turned white and croaked.
I wonder if it's a low light weed?
