Feather duster and bubble tip anemone

I'm trying to help my friend understands what's wrong with her feather duster and bubble tip anemone.
1. The feather duster
Both of them (she has two), the crown part of the feather duster is curly. They were not like that before. The only thing that can possibly cause that according to her is the heater broke down. It didn't work for awhile two days ago, and the temp dropped till 78, normally she keeps it on 82. Anything else might have caused this? No water parameters available right now.
2. The bubble tip anemone
She purchased this anemone last christmas. It was doing fine until one day the pump under the tank, that's next to the bio balls, broke, and caused the all sorts of stuff to come into the tank, such as dirt, sand, and others. Bottom line, you cannot see anything inside the tank. After she fixed her pump and the water cleared up, she saw her anemone and thought that it's dead. But then I feed it one cube of brine shrimp and it inflated back up. It was a green bubble tip anemone, now, one month later, it's pale white and not bubbly at all. It has a very short/ small tentacles. What could've happened? It's still alive, that's for sure. It's living under two bulbs, which I don't know what, but looks bright enough, one blue and one white. What can she do to bring back the color and the bubbliness (is that even a word?)?
Thanks,

I do not think the temp was any problem at all.
(I keep mine at 78 deg)
The anemone is probably on its way out do to the water conditions after the contamination!!!
From what I understand when they turn white there is not much hope (If its been that way for a few weeks)
Just my opinion <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

when i got my bubble-tip it was not bubbly and there was one tentacle that was white which was very weird, but when a clownfish is in a symbiotic relationship with a bubble-tip anemone, it gets its bubbliness.........

Are both in the same tank? Sounds like water conditions to me and low light may be playing a large role. Change out the bulbs if over 6 months old make sure bulb is strong enough for the depth of the tank. Water Change and trace minerals need to be added. What is she feeding them and is it regular feedings?

The bubble tip sounds like it isnt getting enough light. By the fact it lived a month afer the accident, and it is now turning white! Only 2 bulbs does not sound like enough light depending on tank size/depth. Please get wattage of thoselights, but this would be my best guess base don what you have stated. MORE LIGHT PLEASE
