I'm trying to help my friend understands what's wrong with her feather duster and bubble tip anemone.
1. The feather duster
Both of them (she has two), the crown part of the feather duster is curly. They were not like that before. The only thing that can possibly cause that according to her is the heater broke down. It didn't work for awhile two days ago, and the temp dropped till 78, normally she keeps it on 82. Anything else might have caused this? No water parameters available right now.
2. The bubble tip anemone
She purchased this anemone last christmas. It was doing fine until one day the pump under the tank, that's next to the bio balls, broke, and caused the all sorts of stuff to come into the tank, such as dirt, sand, and others. Bottom line, you cannot see anything inside the tank. After she fixed her pump and the water cleared up, she saw her anemone and thought that it's dead. But then I feed it one cube of brine shrimp and it inflated back up. It was a green bubble tip anemone, now, one month later, it's pale white and not bubbly at all. It has a very short/ small tentacles. What could've happened? It's still alive, that's for sure. It's living under two bulbs, which I don't know what, but looks bright enough, one blue and one white. What can she do to bring back the color and the bubbliness (is that even a word?)?
Thanks,
