Feather Duster Dead?

I found the head of my feather duster (feathers and all) stuck to one of the power heads today. It apeared as though it had been cut or nipped off. I suspect the halloween crab. Since it was basically just the head with the feathers does anybody know if it's possible that it will grow back?

These polychaetes will shed their filters when they become tattered or if they are not sized correctly for the environment (too little food, too much waterflow, etc.)
They will grow new filters provided they were healthy and well fed before shedding them.

Interesting, I did not know that they shed their filters. I did recently relocate the the feather duster in the tank a few weeks ago and moved it up high instead of near the bottom. It has been getting more light and slightly more flow but not very much more than what it did before. It always opened up fully everyday and was one of my favorite pieces in the tank.
The end of it (or opening) where the dusters would come out apear to look as though it's simply just closed up for the time being. I guess I'll just keep a close eye on the rest of the body and see what happens.
Here's the most recent pic of it, taken a few weeks ago.

Bang, you were right, Sir. Apparently it shed it's crown and for the moment I've let my halloween hermit live. I believe it was due to the fact that I not only relocated the tank back in early February but I also relocated it's position in the tank. It's getting a little more flow now than it was before. I've never actually witnessed anything in the tank picking on it so for now, I'll stick with that. Plus right around the time of the move and there for a little bit after, I was slacking a little bit on the phytoplankton. But I've resumed feedings as usual just like I did before the move which included daily doses of phytofeast with dinner. I am going to try to leave it where it is at for now because I like it in that spot and see what happens.
New crown emerging...
