Feather Duster "Feather?"

I have a good sized feather duster. I have had it for about a year. The feather came off??? Then the tube closed up for about one to two weeks. Now it has a new feather. Not quite as big as the original. Is this natural? Maybe some type of rejuvination? I was thinking that maybe my CBS had snipped it off. (He is like that). Has anyone ever actually seen the worm?

I heard that its normal forthem to fall off. But I personally dont have one! I have a coco worm.
I want to see the actual worm also haha I always thought the whole tube was the worm!

Yes...I have seen the worm...it is an ugly little brown worm...LOL

Wellllllll...it came out of it's tube....and was laying in the sand...and now I believe it is dead
