feather duster Happy or Sad?

i just recently moved my feather buster toward the middle of the tank..and this morning.. like 1" or 2" of the body is sticking out..is this normal..

stock lighting
water parameter are 0
ph is 8.2
sg is 1.024
25# LR
20# LS

Sounds like he may be about to jump ship (tube). Possibly the flow is too quick in that position.

mine did the same thing only it didnt live after that, i had mine for about a month. then it bailed on me....

still not sure what causes them to do that, other people have had the same problem.
