feather duster question

When acclimating feather dusters, are you supposed to partially bury them under sand? Or do they do that themselves??

IMO, they can grow anywhere that they can secure themselves, i have them on the glas, the rock and the sand, it jsut seems like they can live anywhere, they do prefer moderate current(not too strong)
they also seem to move if they do not like it where they are, they can abandon their tube and take up residence elsewhere, after they find a place they like that they can secure themselves and grow another tube and top

Hi,
I have three feather dusters. Two are attached to rocks and one is burried in the sand. I just dug a little hole in the sand, placed the feather duster into the sand and then covered it up with the sand. It has been very happy there. One feather duster came already attached to a rock and the other one I kinda slid into a hole in a rock and it attached itself. All are very happy and doind well.
