My feather duster jumped out of its tube or the feathers fell off of the tube is it dead? The tube still look fully enclose with the feathers on the bottom of sand now.

If it just lost it's feathers then they should grow back. They sometimes do this when they are stressed etc

The crown (feathered head) is not alive. The worm can build a new tube. The worm can also grow new feathers. It won't hurt to leave the crown in the water.
