Feather duster ?

My feather duster threw its crown a week ago. It is still alive and it has grown new feathers. The reason I know this is because on the side of it there is a small hole, big enough to see the feathers. The opening end of it is barely open. Will it be able to open up naturally, or do I need to open it myself?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

:happyfish Ya, I agree, wait. Happened to me numerous times, just hang in there a couple of weeks, and he'll pop out.

This forum has been sooooooooo helpful to me.
I have learned so much and enjoy seeing other people's aquariums.
