feather duster

hi,i came home from work today and discovered one of my feathers out of his casing.he looks like he kinda burrowed himself in the sand and shells a little and the feather is showing.is he ok and shoul i do anythind.has a brown and white head

He'll grow back his tube.

something similar happened to me as well . i thought it was dead but i left the tube in there anyway cause i wasnt sure .. i was told that if you just give a gentle touch to the tube . it should have a somewhat firm feeling ... if so then it is still alive and will grow back mine took about 2-3 weeks to do that ... good luck

I got 2 back in March, and the one took about a week or so for his feathers to show.
