Is my Feather Duster dying/dead?
The worm discarded the crown the following day I got him, that was 4 days ago, today I found the worm completely out of the tube, see photo
It is either stressed or dosen't like where you placed him. If if dosen't get eaten it will move and build a new tube. Is your water testing okay? Is your sg 1.025-1.026?
Salinity is 1.025 (refractometer) and I actually moved the other duster that was just fine in there to leave a nice place for the new guy.
Should I "relocate" him?
My guess is that if he already jumped ship he will find a place he likes on his own. I have had a few do this and usually a couple of weeks later I will see feathers sticking up from the rocks somewhere.
