hi folks
i got my order from swf.com today (finally, they were supposed to be here last friday, but fedex messed up and lost my package in fort lauderdale ) and as far as i can tell every thing else is alive, but how do I know if the feather dusters are alive or not ? they adon't swim around or anything so how do i know if they are alive or not ? i have three tubes that don't really show anysigns of life but there is a worm crawling around outside of a tube, he is alive i'm sure cause i see him move, but what do i do with him ? maybe just put him in the tank and hope he grows a tube or what ?
i sure would appreciate some advice cause i've never
had feather dusters before
thanks Jeff

the best way to tell if they are alive is by taking your thumb and pointing finger and slowly squeeze the tubes of the feather dusters until you feel them move. if they don't move they aren't alive. a lot of times it takes a while for them to come out because they are not use to their environment. be careful but if you feel them move just leave em be for a couple days. also if one is outside it's shell teh only thing you can do is wait for him to build himself another one. put calcium in the tank to help.

hi again,
ok .... i did like you said and i could feel them move around inside the tube ......... that was kinda cool & yes i did giggle a little bit ....... so i put them in my tank and the one that was just a worm i put down on the sand and let him crawl around and we'll see what happens.
thanks
Jeff
