My feathers dusters seem to pop off their feathery heads and put out this stringy slim in the water. Has anyone had this problem, and will they grow the feather back?
You must have quite a few feather dusters, they are breeding. They pop their heads off before to avoid eating the eggs and young they produce. The stringy slime is eggs and sperm. The heads should grow back within a week or two.
Thanks, I just got three of them and within an hour 2 poped their feathers. I don't know if I need more then 3 in a 12 gal. Nano. Maybe they won't make it.(the babies that is) Thanks again.
