Feather Dusters ??

What kind of lighting does a feather duster require?
I have a 30 gallon and am not ready to spend a lot for expensive lighting but I do want something else in there besides my LR an LS 3 Hermit Crabs and 1 turbo Snail and 1 valentini puffer. I know the puffer is not reef friendly in come cases and not invert friendly in some cases but i really do want to add some color to my tank in expensivly. Any ideas? Even if I could learn how to grow some coarline alage that would be awesome?

I have two in the light and another I had to move under a rock because it would only come out at night.
