feather dusters

I just received some today. Will they attach themselves or must I do something?

I also have a giant hawaiian and he took about two months to attach, but now he is very happy with his new home!

i too have had a problem with my feather duster attaching.. i placed him in what i though was a good location but then he came out of his tube, and the next day my tang ate him.. so no more feather dusters for me.

my roomate's tank had a feather duster that totally jumped out of one tube and grew another. it has gotten twice as big since then, so i guess it found the perfect spot to be in. we saw it when it moved from the old tube to underneath a rock, then 2 days later it was there in a brand new tube!!
