Before I purchase one (FD) of these could someone please share any information regarding length of life. What is the longest anyone has heard of someone keeping one alive in their tank?

i heard they can last years, if the water is right, they should be very hardy, i believe you feed it phytoplankton, correct me of im wrong

Thanks for the reply does anyone else out there have any personal experience they can share (how often did you feed it?) length of time it survived?

if you buy the phytoplankton it will tell you how much and how often to pour into your tank. as long as everything stays steady they will live a long life. just make sure that all your levels stay steady and you feed on a regular basis. i dont think there is a specific time length that they live because it all depends on how you care for it and so forth.
