Fan Worms are marine segmented worms that are sessile, attached to rocks or sand by their base. The plume of Fan Worms can measure up to 10" in diameter on some species. Fan Worms require excellent water quality. On rare occasions, the worm will leave its tube (usually in response to low oxygen levels), which will usually lead to death in a few days. Fan Worms require supplemental feeding with infusoria or foods designed for filter-feeding invertebrates. Breeding is rare in captivity, nonetheless Fan Worms make unique and interesting aquarium inhabitants.
Its my impression that you need only low to moderate lighting, and just make sure no inverts or fish will pick on them, otherwise, they are fairly easy and beautiful additions to the tank. I am trying to see if I can put a couple in my 75 gallon. Good luck to us both.
