Fed Ex

Im all ready to ship some of my fish and corals to have them meet up with me in NY. However I called Fed ex and they say they only ship fish for companies. How else have you guys shipped fish before?

I dono if you can. Most of us just move it ourselves. I would think their would be too many liablilities for UPS and Fedex to do that unless it's a big companie. But they do it on ---- so it has to happen. Good luck to ya.

You can ship fish, I just don't think they will gurantee them. You have an interesting problem. Is there somone in your area that could play foster parent for your critters until your moved and then overnight them?

no, noone around me would have any idea on how to ship them. So far all i thought of is to put them in bags then in a styophome box then the cardboard box. have no idea on how to make sure they dont freeze though.

Go to your LFS and ask if they have any of those heatpacks for fish being transported long distances.

Ya definately do the heat pack thing. Especially since NY is cold right now. You can get oxegenating tabs too. Some online fish stores sell them. Good luck:happyfish

Heat packs are available at most sporting good departments for about $2 for a package of 10.
