Feed Kenya tree or no?

they don't get much from the light. so there food mostly comes from what they filter. i would add phytoplankton to the tank every now and then.

if you want to start having lots of frags drop off, i was told to have two kenyas in the tank full time. so far that advise has come to fruit about 40 kenya trees...
And if you have 8 or 9 huge colonies like some of us are unwise enough to do, well... you get the idea. I yank these things out like weeds nearly every day.

yeah I have about 30 babies in my 65g, I'm goofing around seeing how many I can attach to one rock. soon I am going to have to suspend the rock from a string so I can attach them to the underside and have a floating kenya ball.

Used to be me too. Finally got them all out, and will never get a kenya tree again. Grow and spread too fast, like weeds.

You can just put some in the tank and let it settle on its own, or you can target feed the trees, if you like. I have a kenya tree and it is like 6 months old everyday I have new pieces that have fallen off and even some that have stuck to the glass. Luckily my lfs is willing to buy them from me so I can start weeding them out, no pun intended.
