anyway has any one used more that 1 skimmer?
thinking about adding this one to the mix.frist pic.
jebo rated for 400 gal.
second pics D&D marine 50" tall rated for 400-600 gal.
it is an older modal hard to find info on it.
any feed back welcome.

Nope neither skimmer would be a good choice IMHO......A water volume of that size needs a good skimmer.....What are you planning on keeping in the system? I would seriously look at the ASM, AquaC skimmers....Both are of needlewheel technology, and are very good.....If cash isn't important you might want to consider a EuroReef, Deltec, or H&S.
Another good option to look at are beckett skimmers......Alot of people will tell you that you need big pressure rated pumps to run them and that isn't totally correct. I've seen and it's done dual beckett skimmers being run on MagDrive pumps......Beckett skimmers will handle larger water volumes than a needlewheel skimmer....or I should say they will process more water than a needlewheel. You can also get a beckett skimmer in recirc as well.....A top notch unit to look at is MRC, Barrs, and PM. PM I"M not sure if they build units with dual beckets, but I know MRC and Barrs are built that way if you chose. The MRC is super nice, because if you upgrade your tank or water volume of your system your skimmer can grow with the system....you would just buy an extension riser tube, which would increase the capacity of the skimmer....Again saving you money down the road.

thanks for the info!
I was thinking about the aquaC and ASM. but was trying to get around spending the $$ . I found a really good deal on an ASM 6 (6 feet tall)
but sold before I could get the cash!
any one else with skimmer advice?

Pacific Coast/Octopus needle wheel recircs are pretty good for the money. Not Jebo cheap but the largest model is rated to 400 gallons, cost about $400 and have been proven to work well.
