without trying to be too blunt here,
YOU SHOULD NOT BE FEEDING THEM TO YOUR SW FISH, anyhow
this is one of the worst things you can do, do NOT feed your sw aggressives fw fish, it will do more harm than good, ween them onto food or purchase marine fish to feed them(yes definitely more $$$)
in the long run most fish will wind up with intestinal or liver diseas from this

I agree with the above posts whole-heartedly. FW fish do not contain the proper HUFA required for marine predators. As a result their hunger switch stays on and they eat too much. Meanwhile the unuseable fats from the FW fish accumulate in the liver where the Lionfish body is trying to dispose of them. The result is a fat lethargic predator with a shortened lifespan.
Try to wiggle Lancefish or Silversides in front of the Lionfish. Eventually it will be hungry enough to strike. Gradually you will be able to train it to grab the dead fish on it's way to the bottom. Keep them hungry and lean. You will have a more beautiful alert fish. Be patient, it can take a while to train them.
