Feeding a Dwarf Lion?

We have a female, we have been feeding her feeder goldfish about every other day, and she goes for them rather quickly, as long as the stupid damsels don't try to eat it first. She seems to be doing very well, but I am wondering if there is somthing better we could be feeding her?

yes definatley get her on some krill. if she starts taking it great. if not put it on a skewer or something to get it down in the tank and kinda wiggle it in front of the little girl. soon enough she wil just start taking it. also when big enough try silversides. both of these are great for the lion and she will be happy. by the way just in case you should be able to find these in the frozen section of your lfs. run them under water to thaw them out and you should be good to go.
have fun lions are awesome

Take her off all freshwater feeders, and change her to frozen foods, during the weaning process you can use ghost shrimp to feed, feed the ghost shrimp something nutritional first.
You can pick up a feeder stick from your LFS, place the meaty food on the feeder stick and wiggle it, you can try krill, Silversides, Scallops, Crab and Raw Shrimp, she will need a variety of foods soaked in vitamins.

We tried just about everything but she won't take it. Picky little thing only wants the goldfish, plus she is eating most of the feeder guppies that we are feeding the Blue Ribbon (the LPS told us that was what we should feed the eel, but I think they are full of it)

I would keep trying the frozen foods and not the freshwater stuff. I had a puffer who was really picky, but after about 4 days with no food, he decided the silversides and shrimp I was offering were not that bad after all.

Definately get both off freshwater fish. They are high in fats.
Several days of not eating is fine so stop feeding. Wait several days and try some silversides. They are like sw minnows. Soak one or two in a alittle cup of tank water, add some zoe (vitamins) and a couple of drops of garlic extreme or extract. The garlic used in this fashion will spark an appitite and should increase he chances of the lion eating.
When feeding any type of lion, only feed until you see a slight buldge in the stomach. I feed mine only 2-3 times a week. HTH
Once she starts eating frozen foods then vary it from silversides, krill, fresh octo, squid etc.

I got mine onto frozen by using mysis first, the krill/silversides on a skewer. Just be patient...she'll eat when she gets hungry enough.
