feeding and supplements for tank?

Okay...just wondering what everyone puts in their reef tanks to keep them healthy (inverts, corals, and fish).
I've heard a few different things and read a few varied opinions here so I'm just curious what is best. I'd like to know food and any special stuff and how often (for instance...my LFS that sold me the biocube had me get the kent marine nano-reef A & B to put in the tank).
My personal tanks that I'm trying to figure out what is ideal for them is an 8 gallon stock biocube w/LR, corals, 2 fish and CUC. I also have a FOWRL 40 gallon tank.
I saw some had posted they only feed their fish every couple days...but mine are ALWAYS begging for food, and in my larger tank I'm worried my snowflake will take a chunk out of a fish if he gets too hungry. I have had quite a bit of cyano (spelling?) lately in this tank and everything is testing okay, but I'm pretty sure it's due to overfeeding. I'm almost thinking that I might not keep the snowflake...I see some here have had problems with them getting aggressive with fish, some said they're pretty dirty, and he's a baby now but already pretty bold.
I'm also not sure about feeding the corals...one of my LFS said nothing, but I see a lot of chat about spot feeding them. What food do you guys recommend for the various things in your tank?
Thanks!

ok for supplementation I use only waterchanges I have calcium and buffer on hand for emergencies but I do lots of high quantity 20% 30% 50%waterchanges, I NEVER do small water changes so i require almost no supplementation (this works for my tank obviously for an SPS dominated tank additional supplementation may be required to compensate for calcium consumption).

Holy Crap!! Your fish eat better than I do. That is a very impressive menu.

Give the eel a chance, they are wonderful creatures,I kept a snowflake for several years and he was very well behaved. Fish are always hungry no matter how much you feed them, its fine to feed them as often as you wish as long as you have plenty of flow to keep the excess in the water column until it can be removed as well as good filtration to remove the waste from the water, namely a good skimmer. The eel on the other hand must be fed. I fed mine on a daily basis usually salad shrimp offered on the end of a fondue fork. They will usually remain quite content, wont eat their tankmates or try to escape as long as you keep him fed, miss a feed or two and they will start eating their compadres and will most likely plot then attempt escape for greener pastures.

Wow. Do you have any idea how much you spend weekly on your tank?
I wish I were that dedicated.

How often does everyone feed?
Freshwater Discus site and therefore not competition but I thought you guys would get a kick out of the recipe for making the food I used to feed my Leopards. Five of us networked together and shared expenses to make a batch (one of them had an Italian rest. so we used his kitchen). Just the thing if you want to mix up 700 lbs. of food!
