I don't have any fish right now so I feed my cleaner shrimp and my peppermints, I feed them a little bit of brine shrimp and they love small pieces of jumbo shrimp, My cleaner will take the food out of my hand. I feed just a little bit every other day.

I'd watch out w/ the hand feeding; ours decided it wanted toclean under the fingernail & drew blood <img src="graemlins//evilwhorn.gif" border="0" alt="[Evil Horn]" />

Mine eats when I feed the fish.
He is a quick little sucker at feeding time and gets his fair share of food.

Yes, mine eat the same as the fish, and they are fun to watch, with all those little legs going. My eat out of my hand also--I didn't think they had anything that could hurt me. Ladybugs fall into my tank fairly frequently, and sometimes they eat these also, bless their little hearts. (If you haven't had a ladybug infestation, you can't imagine what horrible pests they are.)

I hand feed mine because I have no fish in the tank. Boy, when I walk in the room, the cleaner shrimp gets up on a rock right at the front of the glass, as soon as my hand goes into the tank, the shrimp jumps on it and takes the food. Pretty cool.

No problems here with mixing pepperments and cleaner. In fact, my new cleaner hangs out with the pepperments. I hardly see him :(
My previous cleaner (simon) was a character and preferred to be hand fed. My new cleaner has yet to really notice me. I miss simon.
