Why would you have to buy a syringe and then cut the tip?
My turkey baster has a large hole? Just curious. I feed frozen clam, mysis, and squid with no problem, just be sure to have enough water to irrigate with.
For a deeper tank the turkey baster is nowhere near long enough. I have a 28 inch deep (water depth) tank and the other is 24 inch deep and getting near to the bottom to feed corals doesn't work with a turkey baster.

I have to get something this weekend, my tank is 24 inches deep. I know I can just put my hand in the tank and go further down, but I do this with my eight year old daughter Sydney. It's hard for her to reach the tank and then reach into the tank. I am leaning towards the kent feeder, what do you use SpiderWoman?

Sea Squirt for corals and regular turkey baster for fish

I use a syringe that i got for free from CVS. I got a few actually. The tip fits snugly into a air hose and I attached the tip of the hose to a wood skewer. So one end can be used to attatch chucks of silversides and the other end will suck up frozen and spot feed.
