feeding Fish

Does everyone turn their pumps off to feed in order to prevent the food from being sucked up into the filter? I only have a 34 gal so It doesn't take long to suck it up. I find that turning the pumps on and off causes alot of air bubbles to pass through the jets. Any suggestion?

I turn my powerheads off during feeding time. Usually just a few minutes.

I also turn mine off. But sometime I get lazy and leave them on, but I try not too!

I turn mine off when feeding, usually for about 5 minutes, no more. I will also "bump" them on a few times during feeding to keep food suspended in the water column.
