Feeding Frogspawn

I tried to feed my frogspawn some squid today. Thawed it out, then cut it up into pieces about a quarter of an inch around. I placed pieces of the squid on all 5 heads. The heads hung on to them for like a minute, then just let them go and fall to the ground. Is something wrong here? Food too big?

if you tryed feeding it again right after it spit it back out,
i would reccoment waiting another day or so, until
it completely opens back up, then feed it.

It's not looking too god today. Every head is open only about half as they usually are. Anybody know why?

ive seen this problem before. it might not be healthy. check parameters. usually when frog spawns and anemones are doing bad their tentacles arent as sticky and its harder for them to eat. besides that frog spawns to me do not need to be spot fed. mine lives from photosynthesis. my LFS does the same thing and he has been growing frog spawns for many years. he has one thats like 13 years old and he never spot fed it once. neither have i and mine is doing great.

It really doesn't look all that bad. It is only not as big. Tentacles are still sticky and still inflated.

I just thought, maybe my sexy shrimp are irritating it? I have 2 that just love to climb all over it as if it were their anemone.

My lighting isn't very strong, so I should replace the lost energy from photosynthesis with spot feeding. If I spot feed it, it will grow faster too.
I think it was the sexy shrimp that was making it smaller. I just knocked them off and the FS seems to be getting bigger now. Thanks.
