Feeding Gorgonian

I just bought a Yellow Gorgonian and I have the following questions about feeding:
1) Is Kent Micro Vert the right food?
2) How many times per week should I feed?
3) Should the protein skimmer be turned off when I feed? What about powerheads?

I have used Kent for about 3 months now and my gorg. looks much better now then it ever did at the lfs. I turn everything off and kind of cover it in a smokey looking fog about twice a week, more if it is really open a few days. My feather dusters love being next to it and my scallop comes over for a bit too.
