How often does everyone feed their dwarf fuzzy lion and porcupine puffer, or similiar species. I usually feed the duo every other day. is this too often?

I feed my porcy every other day. Never had a dwarf lion so I dunno on that one, but I would assume the same.

Be careful. The puffer will chew on the lions fins. That is not a great combo that you have there. The puffer should be fed everyday, or twice per day, the lion can be fed every other day.

I agree on both points. Over-feeding lions takes some self-control (its fun); but could easily be the #1 cause of pre-mature lion death. They can, and will, literally eat themselves to death.
IMO, puffers are almost as bad as triggers for lionfish tankmates. I once had a small spiny box actually eat half the fins off a bigger lion.

I'm pretty sure pleasants has had these 2 together for awhile already. Any problems between the 2 should've cropped up by now, but its certainly something to keep an eye on should the tank dynamic change.

yeah theyve been together with the niger trigger for about 2 and half months now. the trigger goes back tonight hes outgrown the tank, i will miss him. It will just be the two now until i come back from my summer NAVY cruise from may to june then i think im gonna add a flame angel for color and something to eat all my algae and sponges. the puffer like to actually sit right ontop of the lion and just chill there.

Eh well an Angel is potentially almost as bad with Lions as Triggers are. Why don't you get like a Foxface or a Maroon Clown.

I've always considered angels & lions great tankmates. I wouldn't introduce a lion to a long-established, large angel, however. Dwarf angels are, IMO & IME, perfect tankmates for dwarf lions.
