feeding lionfish

how do you get a lionfish to eat something other than goldfish? It's been 5 days since he has eaten. It is trying to eat my fish, and my crabs, all of which are to big to fit in his mouth. I tried shell on shrimp, and silversides.

Get a piece of shrimp or squid and put it on the end of a bamboo skewer, ya know what you make shish ka-bobs with, and put it in front of him. He will eat eventually.

thanks for the info. I'm trying all of these now. I've been told by my LFS that lions will not go hungry for long.

someone asked this the other day, do a serach on lion fish you will probly find some good advice

Took mine a few weeks to ween over to frozen foods.

Been 22 days since mine has eaten. He will now strike the krill, but then spit it out and sit on the bottom and pout. for a while. I'm using sewing thread tied around the tail of the shrimp and moving it in a life-like mannor.

He is skinny, but I'm sure he will eat eventually.

22 days..... I don't feel bad now, it's been 9 days since mine has eaten. I'm trying the string thing as well with silversides.
