Feeding My new Niger Trigger?

I have a 180 gallon tank with 160 lbs of fiji live rock. I got a niger trigger yesterday. He is about 2 inches. I put him in the tank and he immediately started swimming around. I tried to feed him a piece of krill and he ignored it. It is now sitting all the way in the corner by my filter box. He still hasn't touched it. Should I take it out, and also, how should I feed him so that the food doesn't get sucked over by the filter box every time? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

Have you tried chopping the krill up into smaller pieces? Try that and then push the krill underwater with your finger to get it to sink. It may take your fish a day or two to start eating. How long has the tank been setup and running? You said the fish was swimming and now sits in the corner or is it the krill that is in the corner? If he is swimming I'd say he is ok for now. Try some other foods like clam or shrimp. Make sure he cannot see you when he is being fed. Some fish are skidish.

I feed mine different things. He like pieces of raw shrimp, frozen plankton, freeze dried plankton, and he also likes Nori (Dry seaweed). They are normally agressive eaters and should not be too picky. He may still be stressed. Hope this helps

Triggers usually feed very aggressively once they are established. It is usually not necessary to feed fish on the first day you bring them home. Usually I suggest people turn off the lights, and let everything stay calm. I would suggest removing the uneaten food.
Was he eating at the LFS? This is always something you should ask them to show you
. I suspect that he is just a bit stressed out. The live ghost shrimp is a good idea too, but not too many. They will crawl away and die.
How old is the tank, and what other fish do you have?
