Feeding question: Puffer

Just picked up a porcupine puffer...what do you suggest feeding him?

I just bought one and all he seems to like are silver sides

Got plenty of those...just curious what else he'd like.
I think I'll be feeding my tank ghost shrimp about once a week and brine twice...flake food and frozen silvers the rest.

most puffers ive seen tend to not go for the flakes and prefer live food and will sometimes go for frozen. you can try the flakes but im not entirely sure he'll eat them. how big is he? do you have any pics. id like to see some. im getting a porky for my 125 gallon that im cycling rite now.

About 2". No pic yet, but after this weekend I should have a digital camera and will be taking more pics than you all can handle

HI there. my porcupine puffer eats almost anything i put in the tank. i think the best stuff to feed him is either KRILL or SILVER SIDES. That's what I feed mine the most.

I feed my dog faced, Silversides, dried krill, shrimp, clams, and some live food.
