Hey guys I am new to the SW community and have a question. I have a 29bio that has been cycled for 6 weeks and I just added 4 hermits and 4 snails plus one damsel (black and white striped). The guy at my LFS told me to just throw in a whole cube of food every other day and my fish would be fine. I am just starting out and do not plan on adding anything else for a month or so until I see how my damsel does. the guy at the LFS didn't seem too knowalgable ( I think he usually deals with the snakes and spiders ) and the amount of food he told me to put in is bigger than my damsel!!!! shouldn't I be cutting the chunks in half or forths? I know the crabs will eat some but this seems to be way too much food. I was going to cut it into fourths and feed in morning and night. is this too much? also there is 30lbs of live rock and 10lbs of live sand and I have a protien skimmer. any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you have a good plan. I also turn off the pump when I feed, so they can get most of the food before it gets sucked up.

my damsel is only the size of my thumbnail. 1/4 cube was way too much food!!! I am going to drop it down to 1/8 and see how it works. Also set up a nano skimmer. heard nothing but bad things about them but I have no problem with mine. have it set up in the third chamber.
