feeding reef.

i feed my fish like 3 times a day and they are never happy with that. they are always begging for more. they swiim at the top even when im done feeding them. so i feed them again. they stay at the top and eat everything. not happy still.
what do i do?

Stop walking by your tank as much. I think all of our fish would love to eat 3 times a day. I feed my fish/coral every other day.

You just have to worry about excess nutrients. Algae problems can occur and frequent water changes will be needed.

I think, Fish must be feeded at most 2 t 3 times a day, But Like Jerry said they should not be over-feeded, although fish demands....!

I hope fish-feeding program must be pre-decided and complying limits..OK

An excessive feeding leads to many water impurities hard to filtering.

Do you have live rock and live sand? In a mature tank the fish should be getting some nutrition from the tank itself. I have a friend with a 240 gallon tank that NEVER feeds the tank but he has a large refugium, salt water plants, etc. His fish look amazing. I don't think I could not feed my fish.
