Feeding SPS

Has anyone used oyster eggs to feed their tank? A local wholesaler, who also sells retail, swears by them. He has a wonderful selection of SPS's coral and frags. I brought home 3 pieces Thursday night.
Any thoughts on this?

It depends on who you ask on what to feed SPS's. If you consult the marine biology books they state that SPS corals feed primarily on fish feces. Fish only digest about 20% of the food they consume, so the rest of the undigested food that sinks to the bottom of the reef and past the corals will get swept up and used by the SPS's. All I feed my tank is Zooplankton, Phytoplankton, and flake food and my SPS's seem to be great. And not to state the obvious you do need good lighting. DUH!

Absolutely need good lighting. I've run 2) 175 MH and 1) 110 Actinic VHO's on my 75.
He was talking about an ariticle-i didn't see it-about time lapse photograph's showing sps trapping these tiny oyster eggs. He was talking about the nutritional value of the eggs.
Just curious if anyone else knew anything about this?

They are TINY, almost microscopic. You can barely see them floating in the water stream under MH lights. They shimmer.
