actually those were sand eels. I feed different stuff every few days. He eats like once every 4 days. He lets me know he is hungry when he starts to swim around. Right now I will only see his head and 1/4 of his body when he comes out to say hi.
For him I feed squid octopus live damsels sand eels and silversides. Its different every meal time. I also cut everything up and let them soak in different bowls of selcon zoecon and garlic. Every once in a while I will supplement with vitamin C

My rhinopias just got off live damsels last week. :-(

Its the only fish in a 40 gallon breeder. I have a decent amount of rock in there. A skimmer Bio wheel and bi weekly 5 to 10 gallon changes. The best thing about it is that he doesnt really waste anything. The fish are eaten whole as are the pieces of the other stuff I feed him. The bio load really isnt as bad as you would think.
Now his poop. Good lord. Its like a small cat. I have to suck that stuff up. I have a k2 powerhead on each side pushing the water as well. That eel is happy. He would bite me in one second thats how he shows his love. Aggression is great!

The issue with damsels is he will eat them at night when they are sleeping. I will wake up and they will be gone. Normally 5 yellow tails or blue devils at a time.
