Feeding zoos

Do i need to feed my zoos anything special ...i add phytoplankton to water water every couple days ...is this enough?

Hey,
I use DT's Phytoplankton and mine spread like weeds. Right off the lr, up the overflow box and onto the glass. That and some good lighting is all they seem to need. (Besides good water quality but that's sort of a given.)

Yes. It has to be refrigerated so you may have to ask for it if they carry it. DT's is a brand name.

I just purchased some food called cyclopeene or cyclopeeze has anyone ever heard of it. I had recieved some good advice from someone to feed this 2x a week and all of your soft corals will go crazy for it. has anyone ever heard of this????

i have it but i never really use it... (the cyclopeeze)if you say the softies will go crazy for it, then ill use it:yes: i usually just use DT's

i have DT's also but I am going to try to alternate the two of them for a little while.
I once was told before a controlled variety of life and food is the best way to go!!!

I have fed both phytoplankton and cyclopeeze to my coral however because of my carelessness I was putting too much cyclopeeze in my tank and had a problem with water quality for awhile. When you feed it you need VERY LITTLE! I was told by a lfs that a good way to really see how much you are feeding is to put a little in a small cup of water and you will be surprised on how much it becomes. Kinda hard to describe but I have a 75G and I would put a really small clump of it in my tank and then it was EVERYWHERE! These really small red specks of coral food. I have the small can that is dry not frozen. It should last forever. Anyhow, I now put a teenie tiny clump in every once in a while. I am happy with phytoplankton. Easier to measure up.:yes:

Do the corals just grab the food...or is it dissolved into the water?
What about fish...do they eat it?
