Feeding Zoo's

I've used Marinesnow for a while now. I'de say it's pretty good. Just be careful not to overfeed - or else you will see problems.
I also use cyclopeeze. I would switch between this and the snow for feedings every other day.
I've just switched over to zooplankton. I am hoping i will like the results better. It's to early to tell though. I've been using it sparingly for the last few weeks. I think it may be a winner though.

Do you spot feed the zooplankton or pour in and let flow circulate it?

I drip it into a mix cup with the frozen food and feed the tank... Sometimes i will direct it towards the polyps, but i don't spot feed.

I want to try zoomax and coral frenzy if I can ever find them (will probably have to end up getting them online) but right now I drop a chunk of frozen mysis, silverside, brine shrimp, krill into a bullet chopper and chop them to a fine mixture then add daphnea and phytoplex, bring to tank temp and spot feed each colony with powerheads off. Works great.
I upped the feeding from every week or two to every 2-3 days. Codylowe feeds every couple days and has some awesome zoas so I thought I would start feeding more often also. Just will have to do more water changes, but that's OK too.

If you are intentionally trying to feed them you might end up with more problems then good outcomes.
I feed 2-3x a week Rod's Foods and at the same time dose AminoAcids but I would not intentionally try and feed so the zoas can get food....that is if they even eat.

I was using a small particle food called Coral Vibrance (kind of like Coral Frenzy) and had great growth from my zoas and palys(spot feeding). I got a small frag of these

Cant remember, but I think there was only 5-6 polyps and a few days ago they looked like this

A bit over 2X the polyp count in about a month. I am feeding Cyclopeeze, Zooplankton, and Rotifiers now, but I think tomorrow I will order some Reef Roids. I miss the small particle foods and I have seen the growth of my zoas and palys slow down since I stopped feeding them the dry food. I pretty much feed the same as Flricordia, about every 2-3 days. I also love that the dry stuff once wet is less volatile than thawed out food and easier to spot feed.

May I ask a question here about zoa's??
I have a 1 gal pico that has 3 different color of zoo's, 1 small ric, mushrooms, small feather duster. Should I be feeding them anything in this little tank??
I have 1 small green clown goby in there and he gets brineshrimp but gobbles it all up before anything lands.
I don't want to cause water issues with this little tank as everything is going great, but don't want the corals to starve either.
What would you recommend and names of the products would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Deb

Tough call in a tank that small, not sure if I would feed them at all. How long have you had the clown goby? do you feed it anything other than brine? Is it frozen or live baby brine? I only say this because brine shrimp hold little to no nutritional value for fish, unless they are live.

Yippee I found Coral Frenzy in CANADA

That is amazing as everything you folks from the USA list alot of times we cannot get here. But there is a place here that has two different sizes of it.
So may I ask is this stuff really small in size?? is it dry?? how is it fed??
Sorry for all the question.....

I do feed some flake very tiny as well. The brine is frozen, not doing the live thing for one small fish. I do have baby brine too but it seem to be to small for the clown. But would that be feeding the corals or just going into the filter

Do a trade with me for a couple of those for a couple of mine and I will go dry also. or whatever you say.

You are probably right on though. With dry there will be less juices to get lost in the current and into the mouths of the undesirables, like aptasias, flatworms, micro algae and the like.
I still want to try the coral frenzy, but having a time finding it unless I order online. Wish SWF would carry products that pple use.

PM me. I would love to trade.
I was going to go for Coral Frenzy, but I found Reef Roids online for less money and over double the quantity.
